Optional Foods

On Day 46 there is a food list. It says Vegetables, Meat or beans, fat and water. Everything else is optional. I notice fruit is not on the list. Does this mean it should be considered a treat or joy eat rather than a regular part of eating?

Answer:

Fruit is always a healthy option. Some of us are more sensitive than others to the sugars in fruits. That is why it is a good idea to experiment and see how your body responds. For some people eating fruit every day (or several times a day) is perfectly fine, for others the sugars can make it more challenging to lose weight. You get to decide, based on how your body responds to fruit!
